CAF CL: Asante Kotoko oust Kano Pillars

Ghana league champions Asante Kotoko are through to the next stage of the CAF Champions League after a 2-0 victory over Kano Pillars on Sunday.

Kano Pillars took a 3-2 first leg win into Sunday's encounter but the Kumasi club scored in both halves to record the needed victory.

Mathew Kelvin Andoh scored an early goal in the first half to the delight of a fully-packed Baba Yara stadium in Kumasi.

Emmanuel Gyamfi scored the winner in the second half to seal a 2-0 victory and a 4-3 aggregate win.

Asante Kotoko will now face Tunisian side Etoile Sahel in the next round.
