Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic will demand clarity over his Manchester United future when he meets manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for talks this week.
According to the Mirror, Matic wants to know if he is still part of the United plans after registering zero minutes since the league started.
The 31-year-old is has been replaced by youngster Scott McTominay when it comes to defensive duties in midfield but that has not prevented United from failing to pick a win in their past two games.
It has been clear that Solskjaer is putting a strong emphasis on promoting youth going forward at United, with the club waving goodbye to both Marouane Fellaini and Ander Herrera in the space of six months.
Writing on the Wall
The writing may be on the wall for the Serbian who was a firm favourite under Solskjaer's predecessor, Jose Mourinho the duo having worked together at Chelsea.
However, Matic has not started under Solskjaer since the first week of May last season when United was beaten by Huddersfield, who were relegated to the Championship shortly thereafter.
It is said that a series of clubs are monitoring the situation with the window still open in some of the major league until September 2.
