Gor Mahia midfielder Hashim Sempala has rejoined Tusker FC on a two-year deal the club has confirmed.
The Ugandan joined Gor midway through the 2018/19 season but found game hard to come by under coach Hassan Oktay with the team preferring Ernest Wendo, Kenneth Muguna and Francis Kahata as the first-choice options in the midfield.
His departure is said to have been instigated by the rise of new acquisition Tobias Otieno who was roped form Sony Sugar FC in the just concluded window.

He becomes the latest new face in the brewer’s team and should not find adapting in his new surrounding hard to come by with a chunk of players he played with early in the year are still around.
He is the latest new face in the team with Tusker having acquired the services of Humphrey Mieno, his former teammate at Gor Mahia George Odhiambo and Vincent Ngesa from Nzoia Sugar FC.
Other new faces in the team are goalkeeper Michael Wanjala from Bungoma Superstars, Mario Kakai and Eric Zakayo who were promoted from the team’s Tusker Youth FC and Gabriel Wandera.
Sempala will hope that he shows his former employers what they are going to miss as they come face to face in their first match of the league season.
