✌🏾Kaizer Chiefs scouting gets praise

Kaizer Chiefs’ scouting efforts have been credited after the arrivals of Samir Nurkovic and Kearyn Baccus.

Former Ajax Cape Town goalkeeper and current SuperSport TV analyst Sean Roberts says Chiefs’ impressive start to the 2019/20 lies in their scouting network.

Amakhosi 2-1 win over Cape Town City was without question the best performance of August and happened to be a game where new signings Nurkovic and Baccus endeared themselves to the club’s supporters.

“Nurkovic for me, is the real deal, I think he is a top player and he is good in the air, he drifts well off the shoulder of defenders and he has quick feet so kudos to Kaizer Chiefs for some good scouting,” Roberts told SuperSport TV via Soccer Laduma.

Roberts also explained the qualities new Australian midfielder Baccus has that led to many Chiefs fans singing his name out of Newlands on Tuesday night.

“Baccus played an extremely vital role with regards to Kaizer Chiefs’ comeback against Cape Town City. He has the ability to play high up on the field closer to Manyama, knowing that you have Katsande or Maluleka behind doing all the dirty work, cleaning up. Baccus’ delivery of the ball is very good, he has good passing ability and the weight on his passes is very impressive,” Roberts added.

Roberts further turned his attention to the Zambian international Lazarous Kambole who is yet to show his true qualities after getting several opportunities to impress.

“Kambole could have cemented his claim if he had a good Carling Black Label Cup, which I feel he didn’t because he would have been flying now if that was the case. So I think for now the jury is still out on him,” concluded Roberts.
