Former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates star Jabu ‘Pule’ Mahlangu has advised Thembinkosi Lorch on his future.
As reported on Futaa, the Pirates' Footballer and Players’ Player of the Season did enough to attract interest in Belgium and France, leaving transfer window speculations on high alert.
“Sometimes we can say it’s too early, but sometimes opportunity comes once. He has done well, and he has proven his worth in South African football,” Mahlangu, whose career included a stint in Sweden told KickOff.com.
The former dribbling wizard did not suggest his points without looking from Pirates’ perspective as the selling club - saying Pirates rightfully deserve an offer they will be happy with.
“I think, personally, I’d say if there is a good offer for him and for the club – because he must respect that he still has a contract with Orlando Pirates – let him go.”
“He needs to go while he still can, because you don’t know if you delay then you get an injury and you’re no longer available to play, then it becomes a problem.”
The Daveyton-born legend concluded by mentioning the financial benefits Lorch stands to enjoy as well as how Bafana Bafana will welcome his move.
“So, I think it is the right time for him to go and also make his money, and also come back and help Bafana Bafana with that experience,” concluded Mahlangu.
So will Pirates eventually get tabled an offer that will see Lorch moving to France’s Ligue 1? We will surely find out in no time.
