Manchester United legend Eric Cantona baffled everyone with a bizarre speech as he accepted the UEFA President's Award for his charitable work and outstanding contribution to the game.
Cantona had the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo staring in bemusement, as he quoted William Shakespeare during the speech while donning a red shirt and flat cap. The Frenchman picked up his gong ahead of the Champions League group stage draw from UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin.
After receiving the award, Cantona opened up on his football career, his support of charitable causes and also quoted William Shakespeare's play King Lear, "As flies to wanton boys, we are for the gods. They kill us for their sport. Soon the science will not only be able to slow down the aging of the cells, soon the science will fix the cells to the state.
"And so we become eternal. Only accidents, crimes, and wars will still kill us. But unfortunately, crimes and wars will multiply. I love football. Thank you."
