Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial will be unavailable for the club when they take on Southampton at the St. Mary's this weekend.
The pair picked up injuries during their last English Premier League match against Cyrstal Palace, but are expected back after the international break.
United head into the match on the back of a 2-1 defeat to the London club and will be hoping to pick maximum points before the first break of the season.
“They're doing okay, but they won't be involved in this game,” explained Solskjaer to MUTV, prior to his pre-match press conference at the Aon Training Complex.
“They'll need the international break. Hopefully, Anthony is ready for the Leicester game and Luke maybe another week or two after that.
“They've got slight injuries that they picked up in the game against Palace, and in one respect, it's a positive time to get it, because it's the international break for them, and they won't miss many games,"
The team will also miss the services of Alexis Sanchez, who moved to Inter Milan on a season-long loan, where he reunited with former teammate Romelu Lukaku.
Diogo Dalot will also miss the match, and as such, Ashley Young looks set to start in left-back, having replaced Shaw against Palace.
