Sensational Zanaco head coach Numba Mumamba has revealed that his side is aiming to finish in the top two brackets in the 2019/2020 MTN/FAZ Super League season.
Numba admitted that his team did not meet the set targets in the transitional league and failed to live up to expectations. He is however confident that his team will meet their target this season thanks to their new acquisitions.
"Our expectations as Zanaco is for our team to perform better than we did in the transitional league. We set targets that we did not meet and we did not perform to the expectations of the people. We try to make sure we perform better and finish among top two teams in the league," he said.
"With players, we have brought I think they are better than the players we released and looking at what we have seen in preseason we have a very strong team that can help us meet our target of finishing among the top two teams."
"We are playing Zesco away, It will be a very tough game. I must say Zesco is the best team in the country at the moment but we have the ammunition that can stand against Zesco and give us the result we want," he added.
The Bankers travel to Ndola to face Zesco United in their league opener on Saturday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium at 15:00hrs.
