Zambia U23 national team coach Beston Chambeshi says the team is 85 percent ready for the September 4th Egypt 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Congo Brazzaville.
Chambeshi expressed happiness with the hard work put in by the local players since the commencement of the preparations.
"So far so good with the locals, Ever since we started our preparations the boys have been working hard and they are looking forward to Wednesday's game which is good," he said.
" This team is a battle-tested team, They have played in front of huge crowds all we need is to help them focus and deliver. We just waiting for the foreign-based players to come in and see their level of fitness as at now we are 85 percent ready for Wednesday game," he added.
Zambia will play the first leg at home on September 4th at Heroes Stadium while the return leg will be in Pointe Noire on September 8. The tickets for the September 4 tie are already on sale via Computicket in all Shoprite outlets with VIP pegged at K250, WEST at K100 while the rest of the Stadium is going at K20.
The winner over two legs will qualify to the 2019 AFCON that will be hosted by Egypt in November. The top three teams at the tournament will qualify to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
