Leganes defender Kenneth Omeruo has confirmed he will miss Nigeria's international friendly game against Ukraine.
Nigeria play Ukraine in Dnipro on September 10, their first game since finishing third at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in July.
While speaking via a telephone conversation on Brila FM, the Super Eagles defender said, “Yes, it is true I will not be part of the match because my work permit is still in the process here in Spain.
“It is an important process I need to get done for me to continue to play in the Spanish La Liga and also concentrate more on my game. So, I will miss the match against Ukraine.
“All the same, I wish my teammates the best of luck in the match.”
Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has also been rule out of the encounter.
