2009 Kenyan Premier League champions Sofapaka FC will take on league rivals Sony Sugar FC in a friendly clash at the Narok County Stadium on Monday 9 September.
The team will be using the clash to keep fitter after falling in their season opener against Posta Rangers at the same venue and with Ulinzi Stars coming next in their roster.
In a statement on their portal, Sofapaka said: “Sofapaka will face fellow Kenyan Premier League side Sony Sugar FC in a friendly match at the Narok Stadium on Monday, September 9 in the penultimate day of the FIFA International weekend as the team builds up for the second match of the season against Ulinzi Stars in Nakuru.”
Beneficial to Sony
The game should be beneficial to Sony Sugar too after going down 3-0 in their opener against KCB FC at the Awendo Green Stadium.
After losing a total of 24 players last season, Sony head coach James Nandwa will be hoping that the friendly help his new faces acquit themselves with how he wants them to play ahead of their second game of the season against Nzoia Sugar FC at the Sudi Grounds.
