Zambia U23 national team striker Fashion Sakala is hoping for qualification to the Egypt 2019 Africa Cup of Nations when the team faces Congo Brazzaville in the return leg of their final round qualifier.
“I am looking forward to the second leg, I hope we will qualify for the AFCON,” he said.
“We have the next game, millions of Zambians are expecting a lot from us. When you talk about missing chances, it is part of the game, but as a player, I just have to keep on working and scoring if possible. We thank God that he has given us victory.”
The Bola na Lesa Boys will leave for Congo Brazzaville on Friday (tomorrow). The winner over the two legs will qualify to the 2019 AFCON that will be hosted by Egypt in November. The top three teams at the tournament will qualify to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
