Sensational Zanaco assistant coach Dabid Chilufya has declared the Bankers ready to face Green Eagles in Sunday's rescheduled MTN/FAZ Super League week two encounter scheduled for Sunset Stadium.
Chilufya revealed that the team was only targeting maximum points as they want to use the match as a morale booster ahead of their CAF Confederation Cup assignment in Mauritius against Bolton City.
"The team is very much ready for the game against Green Eagles, " Chilufya said.
"Losing the first game was not good. What I can say is that this game is crucial, We need to win before we face Bolton. I believe the players are ready for both Green Eagles and Bolton, " he added.
Eagles have been in fantastic form in competitive games having eliminated South Africa PSL giants Orlando Pirates from the CAF Champions League but the Bankers will not be bothered about that as they are only focusing on what they will do in the match.
"Looking at what Eagles gave done it can give you pressure but we are absorbing it as the technical bench and we are psyching the players. We have told them that this is just another competitive game they must play. We have told them not to look at what Eagles have done but focus on what they will do. We just have to prepare ourselves and make sure we win the game," he said.
"We were a bit down but we have managed to boost the morale and the players are fit for the game, " he added.
Zanaco and Green Eagles will both be searching for their first win this season having lost and drawn respectively on matchday one. The two teams will square off tomorrow, Sunday, September 8th at Sunset Stadium at 15:00hrs.
