U23 AFCON Qs: Zambia eye qualification to Egypt

Zambia U23 national team will this afternoon look to complete their Egypt 2019 U23 AFCON qualification when they square off with Congo Brazzaville in the second leg of the final round of qualification.

Zambia carries a 2-1 advantage into the second leg thanks to Fashion Sakala's brace in the first leg however the Red Devils scored an away goal in Lusaka which means they only need a one-nil win to qualify to the tournament.

Beston Chambeshi in his pre-match press conference stated that he was going to go into the game with an attack-minded lineup but he will need to be cautious and not leave his defence too exposed as Congo Brazzaville have proved to be a very good side and can easily hurt the 'Bola na Lesa' Boys.

The players that started at home are expected to make the majority of today's line up with only one change most likely that of Ngosa Sunzu starting ahead of either Klings Kangwa or Gamphani Lungu to give Mwepu a more advanced role in Midfield.

The kickoff for this afternoon's match is at 15:30 hours local time (16:30 hours Zambian time).

The winner over the two legs will qualify to the AFCON that will be held in November in Egypt. The top three teams at the tournament will qualify to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
