Cape Town City star Kermit Erasmus says whatever has been seen from him this season is nowhere near his own expecations.
The Bafana Bafana striker with two goals in five, has quickly played down suggestions that he is in great form. Never mind being one of the best in the country.
“No, not really, I haven’t reached the level I want to be,” Erasmus said via IOL.
“We have only played a handful of games. I am just trying to build on this start and improve with every game. Even if I reach the level I want to be at, I’ll always be looking to improve to try and do better.”
The former Orlando Pirates forward proceeded to explain how the team, not himself, have finished games feeling let down.
“There are games where we could have done better as a team but it’s part of the game, hopefully we can push each other at training to.”
“Benni is a huge part of my life now.”
“With him being at Cape Town City is a huge reason why I chose to join the club. He is somebody I idolised as a footballer and as a person. He has helped me a lot in this short stint I have worked with him,” concluded the stocky striker.
