Ashraf Mugume has exclaimed that he will be ready to step up and earn his place in the starting lineup after he made his return to Vipers SC after his loan spell at Police FC.
The midfielder spent the 2018/19 season at Police under the tutelage of head coach Abdallah Mubiru and Kawowo Sports revealed that he was one of the outstanding players in the squad.
“I feel am now a better player,” he said. “The adventure at police was an educational experience for me in terms of getting used to league football as well as discovering and exercising my potential as a young player,” Mugume told the club's official website.
“I have learnt a lot during my loan spell and I will keep working hard to fully maximize my potential. I believe it’s my time to shine."
However, despite the excitement of returning to his parent club, Mugume will have to compete with Rahmat Ssenfuka, Siraje Sentamu, Brian Nkuubi and the versatile Ibrahim Tembo among others.
