Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing £36million-rated Brazilian wonderkid Bruno Guimaraes once their transfer ban is lifted.
The London club has reportedly scouted the 21-year-old defensive midfielder on several occasions and their scouts were present as Guimaraes scored the only goal in Athletico Paranaense's 1-0 win against Internacional in the Copa do Brasil final first leg.
Reports further indicate Guimaraes has a release clause of £36million in his contract with the Brazilian team and has attracted attention from Europe’s top clubs including Shakhtar, Inter Milan, Lille, and Napoli.
Chelsea have a lot of talent in midfield but cannot pass the chance to sign one of the most exciting young talents in South America.
Guimares was born in Rio de Janeiro and started his soccer journey at Audax Rio and Audax.
He made his professional debut for Audax on 9 April 2015, aged just 17 before going on to make the Serie A debut in 2017.
Watch his goal against Internacional.
