Former Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar has urged David De Gea to make up his mind about his future at Old Trafford and stop stalling over a new contract.
The former Atletico Madrid keeper will be a free agent when the season ends and was expected to sign a new contract over the summer transfer window but is yet to do so. De Gea is free to engage clubs over his possible signing from January, leaving United vulnerable in the goalkeeping department.
Van der Sar who was succeeded by De Gea has urged the Spanish keeper to make up his mind about his future at United, "The decision needs to come at a certain point. It's taken a long time now, so it's a case of 'yes' or 'no' but I'm not a director of United, so...
"Other goalkeepers can also fill the gap. There are a few Premier League goalkeepers playing at the club who can also take the step up. I was 34 when I went to United, so there are lots of opportunities there."
