Juventus out to sign Man United’s Matic

Serie A giants Juventus will be out to sign Manchester United midfielder Nemanja Matic in the summer this as reported by the Sun.

Matic has only appeared for United twice this season with his start as the team beat Leicester on Saturday coming after an injury to Paul Pogba.

The Sun now reports that Juventus are looking to acquire the Serbian midfielder on a free should United refuse to renew his current deal which is up at the end of the season although the Premier League club do have the option of extending it for another year.

Paul Pogba

The Italian giants had been in for Matic’s team-mate Paul Pogba after a summer in which he appeared to agitate for a move but the World Cup-winner ended up staying at United and Juve have been forced to make other plans.

Matic has himself expressed dissatisfaction on the bench role and claimed last week while on international duty that if the club failed to get results then the blame should rest with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

When Pogba is available, Solskjaer has preferred midfielder Scot McTominay to partner the French man in midfield.
