Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl has confirmed via the club's official website that there are no new injury updates ahead of the Tottenham Hotspur match - however, Moussa Djenepo is still unavailable.
Djenepo was on the sidelines in Southampton's victory over Portsmouth in the Carabao Cup and it has now been confirmed that he will not be part of the travelling squad as he is still in recovery.
Alex McCarthy was dealth a slight niggle in his leg muscles during Tuesday night's match but he hasn't been ruled out of the Tottenham's game.
“We managed the game on Tuesday very well,” Hasenhüttl asserted. “Only the long-term injured players, like Moussa Djenepo, are still out.
“Alex McCarthy has a little problem with his muscle. So maybe we take another goalkeeper at the weekend.
“We took a few new pictures [of Djenepo’s injury]. There isn’t more to say. He’s still out. We don’t know how long but at the moment there is no chance to play for him.
“He’s had a very good impact on our team and everyone loves him. He’s a good guy and it isn’t easy for him at the moment. But that’s football.”
