Bolton City Youth Football Club head coach Thomas Jerome says his side will be aiming for a win when they square off with Zanaco on Saturday in the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup first-round encounter.
The Mauritians suffered a 2-1 defeat at home and need to score two goals to secure qualification to the playoffs. Coach Jerome believes its is going to be a tough game for Bolton but has promised that his team will do their best.
"We would like to thank FAZ and Zanaco for the welcome it has been very good. Despite the loss at home we very happy to be here for the return match. Last time it was very hard for us to play against Zanaco in the first leg so we prepared hard and hope we get a good result here," he said.
"One thing you should know is that this is our first participation in a CAF competition and I have young players, most of them it's their first time to take part in CAF. We will do everything we can on Saturday but after the loss, we need to score two goals. I know it will be tough but we will try our best," he added.
The Bolton City gaffer went on to reveal that he has now seen how Zanaco plays and who their best players are. He singled out Zimbabwean midfielder Tafadzwa Rusike and captain Ziyo Tembo as two of the best players that Numba Mumamba has on his roaster.
" We have an idea about Zanaco players. They play many direct footballs. We will do our best tomorrow, " he said.
" Many players are very good. I think the Zimbabwean Rusike he will be very dangerous in tomorrows match and in defense Tembo, he is very good but we will try to do our best."
The Bankers and Bolton City will square off at 15:00hrs at Heroes Stadium on Saturday with the winner set to progress to the pre-group stage playoffs.
