πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡ΌπŸ† Chibuku Super Cup first round: Six clubs march into the last eight

The 2019 Chibuku Super Cup kicked off with 12 goals in six games.

As far as the biggest game of the weekend, Highlanders knocked out Dynamos with a narrow 1-0 win.

Prince Dube found the winner on 30 minutes after a quick, clever move which beat his marker and the advancing goalkeeper.

A bitterly disappointed Tonderai Ndiraya summed up the defeat: “We were playing at home against a team that has played two games in the last five days. We were fresh, and I thought we would push ourselves, but we didn’t do that. I am quite disappointed with the way we performed. It was just a poor show by the team,” Ndiyara said.

The likes of Ngezi Platinum, ZPC Kariba, and Black Rhinos also registered quarter-finals positions.

Defending champions are yet to begin their title defence. Triangle are meant to battle Herentals in a yet-to-be-determined date.
