After their 1-0 win over Bournemouth, Unai Emery revealed that Kieran Tierney and Rob Holding are edging closer to their Premier League returns while Hector Bellerin still needs more time.
Tierney signed for Arsenal from Celtic on deadline day but was ruled out of the start of the season after having a hernia operation. Holding suffered an injury against Manchester United last December but returned alongside Hector Bellerin against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup.
Speaking after the win over Bournemouth, Emery provided a fitness update on the trio, "It's one process with them. Kieran and Rob are closer to playing, Holding can play 90 minutes. Now we are working on playing with David Luiz and Sokratis. The competition for him will be difficult.
"We are going to play a lot of matches, every player will have a lot of chances to play. Kieran Tierney is closer to us, he played on Thursday, today he was in the bench with the possibility to play if we needed him.
"Hector Bellerin needs more time, more matches, more training. This international break will be important for him. The next matches he'll be closer to us to start one match in the Premier League."
