COSAFA Men's U-17: Zambia arrive in Blantyre, Malawi

The Under-17 Boys national team has arrived in Blantyre, Malawi for ahead of the kickoff of the 2019 COSAFA Under 17 Championship set for Friday, October 11th.

The team is composed of youth drawn from several provinces. The young Copper Bullets will be hoping to win the tournament Zambia last won in 2017.

Zambia has a tough first-round having been drawn in Group A, where they will face Eswatini on October 12, regional heavyweight rivals South Africa two days later and hosts Malawi in their final game on October 16.

Zambia squad:

Defenders: Lombe Mutale, Lackson Tembo, Miguel Changa Chaiwa, Onesimus Chipango, Peter Chikola, Benson Simwanda

Midfielders: Dominic Kanda, Chipyoka Songa, Kelvin Mwanza, Joseph Sabobo Banda, Lasmond Phiri, Charles Majapa Mumba, Julius Kumwenda, Brian Mate, Innocent Nkhoma

Strikers: Rickson Ng’ambi, Moses Mulenga, Twiza Mulenga
