Senegal have held Brazil to a 1-1 draw and coach Tite has been left believing that Africans are awkward to play against.
Today’s friendly saw Liverpool's Roberto Firmino get his nation ahead on nine minutes. But Famara Diedhiou’s penalty conversion drew the game - thanks to Sadio Mane winning his side the penalty.
Without denying Brazil were not good enough, coach Tite used his past battle with Cameroon’s as an example of the African challenge.
''From my time here, it's the second time we've played against the African countries, and it's the second time we've had difficulty. It was like this against Cameroon too,'' Tite told TV Globo.
The 58-year-old coach continued to add that African tend to look for physical play, compress spaces and play the ball in the air. Brazil are therefore still searching to find solutions against such opposition.
''They are teams that seek contact, bring compaction, strong aerial ball. And we are still finding the best way to play against the African teams.''
Up next is another West African giant. Brazil take on Nigeria on Sunday at the Singapore National Stadium.
