Copper Bullets aim to gun down the Squirrels

The Zambia national team will be aiming to end their tour of West Africa on a high when they face off with the Squirrels of Benin in an international friendly match this afternoon at the Stade Charles de Gaulle in Porto-Novo.

Zambia is coming from a 1-1 draw against the Menàs of Niger. Coach Aggrey Chiyangi is expected to name a different having hinted on it after the Niger draw.

Polokwane City goalkeeper Cyril Mwenya Chibwe is expected to make his debut for the Copper Bullets following the completion of his switch to Chipolopolo.

Others who could start today's match are Red Arrows captain Bruce Musakanya, Larry Bwalya, Emmanuel Chabula and last season's PSL top goalscorer Mwape Musonda.

Zambia will be dressed in lime green with strips of white while the Squirrels will be dressed in yellow. The two teams will observe a minute of silence in memory of Benin sports journalist Alex Chodaton before kick-off.

The match will be officiated by Togolese match officials, Gnama Aklexo, Limna Kabassima, and Abdou Kpélafia

Kickoff is at 17:00 hours Central African time.
