Former Arsenal and Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech continued from where he left from in football as he was named the Man of the Match in his Ice Hockey debut.
Cech made headlines last week after announcing his career switch to Ice Hockey following his retirement from football at the end of last season. The 37-year-old signed for Guildford Phoenix and was named Man of the Match during the National Ice Hockey League South 2 game against Swindon Wildcats.
The former Arsenal goalkeeper made a crucial save in the shootout after a 2-2 draw on Sunday to ensure Phoenix walked away with a win. Cech started the game well, with no goals conceded in the first period of the game, but the Wildcats fought back with two goals in less than ten minutes in the second period.
