Zambia national team for locally-based players captain Adrian Chama says the team is targeting making it to the 2020 Cameroon CHAN tournament.
Zambia hosts Eswatini on Saturday, October 19th at the National Heroes Stadium in the return leg of the final round of qualifiers. The Copper Bullets beat the Sihlangu Semnikati 1-0 in the first leg thanks to an Amity Shamende strike.
" As a team, our target is to make our fourth appearance at the CHAN tournament in Cameroon. To the fans, they just need to turn out in huge numbers and support us. We have never lost a game at Heroes Stadium and that's because the fans are always there to cheer us," he said.
Zambia conceded a late goal in each of their last two friendly matches and Chama believes that the team is losing concentration in the last few minutes and need to work on that.
"We have picked a lot of points going forward. It was a good practice match. We played well and that gives us a feeling that comes Saturday against Eswatini something good will happen," he said.
"As a team, we are losing concentration. We conceded in the 87th minute against Niger and in the 90th minute against Benin. We need to work on those lapses we making in the last parts of the game."
Zambia and the Tshilangu will face off on Saturday at 15:00hrs at the National Heroes Stadium. The tickets for the match have been pegged at K20 and K100.
