Method Mwanjali is battling for his career after last weekend’s horror injury.
The 34-year-old Mwanjali was rushed straight into an ambulance and transported to the Michael Gelfand Clinic after seriously injuring his ankle against Hwange.
CAPS' doctor Dennis Chabwera described the accident as a ‘complex ankle fracture’. “It’s quite a bad injury, it takes about 12 weeks to heal, including rehabilitation,” Dr Chabwera said.
Meanwhile, the club have taken to social media to throw their support behind the former Warriors captain, including the confirmation of a scheduled surgery operation this morning.
“As CAPS United we would like to let our stakeholders particularly or sponsors and our fans that although Method is in stable condition, he is scheduled to undergo a surgery today, Tuesday, 15 October 2019. He is expected to be out of action for at least three months. As CAPS United, we wish him a successful operation, a quick recovery and may God bless him,” read the club’s statement.
