Bayer Leverkusen manager Peter Bosz has admitted that Kai Havertz could soon leave the club amid interest from Manchester United and Liverpool.
Havertz had a blistering campaign last season, scoring 17 goals in 34 appearances from midfield, as well as notching four assists for his teammates. The Leverkusen midfielder was also on target in Germany's 2-2 draw against Argentina in an international friendly last week.
In an interview with Sport Bild, Bosz provided a future update on Havertz, "Of course I would like to keep him, just as I would have liked to keep Julian Brandt, for example. Kai is only 20 and still has room for improvement. I can help him there.
"But it is like this, at the end the player himself must feel when he is ready for the next step. Nobody can decide that for him."
The 20 year old has been linked with a host of top Europeans clubs including both Manchester clubs as well as Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
