Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has opened up about his meeting with Paul Pogba in Dubai which has reignited the midfielder's transfer speculation.
Earlier this week, Pogba met with Zidane as the United midfielder was in Dubai to undergo injury rehabilitation and once again their meeting fueled transfer speculation. The Real Madrid boss has played down the 'chance' of meeting with the Frenchman, saying his conversation with Pogba was entirely innocent. Zidane insists he was simply on holiday during the international break, having attended the Dubai Artificial Intelligence in Sports Conference.
"It was a complete chance. I was there and he was too," he said on Friday during a press conference when asked about photos of him with Pogba by the pool.
"Since we know one another, we spoke to each other. I’m not going to tell you what we talked about; that’s private. We’ve known each other for a long time. We bumped into each other, and we stopped and talked."
Pogba, whose contract with the Red Devils is set to expire in the summer of 2021 hinted at being ready for 'a new challenge' in the summer.
