Kalengo hat-trick earns Zesco victory as Zanaco edge Forest

Zesco United recorded their fifth win in a row to continue their fantastic start to 2019/2020 season while Napsa Stars and Green Eagles played out to a one-all draw.

Winston Kalengo rolled back the years as he netted a hattrick to Zesco United to a comfortable 3-1 win over Zambia Army-sponsored out-fit Green Buffaloes in an early kick-off at Sunset Stadium this afternoon. Friday Samu scored the face-saver for Buffaloes.

In the second match of the day, Sensational Zanaco claimed a hard-fought one-nil win over Forest Rangers to end a three-match winning run for Perry Mutapa and his team.

Zimbabwean midfielder Tafadzwa Rusike scored the all-important goal in the in 24th minute from the penalty spot.

At Woodlands Stadium, Napsa Stars welcomed Green Eagles in what was the main event of the weekend. The Pensioners took the lead just two minutes into the match but Gozon Mutale leveled matters five minutes into the second half to make sure the two sides walked away with a point each.
