Eswatini head coach Kosta Papic says he is proud of his team despite their failure to qualify for the 2020 Cameroon CHAN tournament.
The Serbian born gaffer felt his side played well throughout their qualification journey in which they eliminated Malawi and Angola before Zambia eliminated them.
“The second goal killed us obviously we tried our best to have a chance in the last minute of the match but we hit the Bar, unfortunately, we did not qualify for CHAN, I wish Zambia all the best in CHAN they have a good team though in the second half they did not play how the Coach Wanted,” he said.
“But Football is like that you give pressure to try to Score the goal to qualify but its not easy for country like Eswatini to come back after 2-0 and have a chance to win the game, am very proud of my boys we will see what the Country is going to say about this but we don’t have any regrets.”
Eswatini failed to book a place at the 2020 Cameroon CHAN tournament despite a hard-fought 2-2 draw with the Copper Bullets at the National Heroes Stadium on Saturday as they lost 3-2 on aggregate.
