Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Denis Onyango is mourning the death of his father Mzee Gabriel Onyango, who succumbed to cancer.
Onyango has been given time off by Sundowns to mourn the death of his father. The South African League side confirmed in the morning their goalkeeper left for Uganda to be with his family.
"It is with great sadness that we learnt of the passing on of the father of Denis Onyango. The Club has released Denis to mourn this great loss and he will immediately leave for Uganda with his family," a statement from the club read.
Sundowns, who are currently third on the log could be without their shot-stopper on Sunday when they take on Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Versfeld on Sunday afternoon.
