Redbull Salzburg head coach Jesse Marsch wants his team to improve defensively as he believes the 10 goals conceded in three games is just too much.
The Austrian Bundesliga Champions conceded two goals against Genk, Four away at Anfield and three at home against Napoli.
"Two against Genk, four against Liverpool and today (Yesterday) three goals conceded. That's too many, we simply have to defend better! Against these top opponents, it's difficult for sure - one moment is enough for them," he said.
"We weren't aggressive enough at the start, but we gave so much over the course of the match. It's a shame! The opponents were very smart and very good though!"
Salzburg suffered a 3-2 loss at the hands of Napoli at the Redbull Arena and will travel to face the Italian side in Naples for the first of their return legs.
"My team has a lot of quality, and I really enjoy working with these young players. We are going to fly to Naples and give everything again there, even if it is going to be tough, of course."
Striker Erling Haaland described the loss as a crushing blow but still feels his team has a slight chance of progressing to the next round.
"It was such a crushing blow straight after making it 2-2. I feel really down now, of course. We are a good team, you saw that again, and we have to concentrate on the next few matches. Then we'll see what's still possible," he said.
Dries Mertens scored a brace which was canceled out by Erling Braut Haaland before second-half substitute Lorenzo Insigne could grab the winner to keep Napoli at the summit.ss
