Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic is pleased with recent performances for the club, and has vowed to continue working to get even better.
The former Borussia Dortmund star was the hero on Wednesday away to Ajax in the Champions League, stepping up from the bench to grab the all-important assist as Mitchy Batshuayi gave Chelsea a 1-0 win.
The match came on the back of another inspiring appearance off the bench against Newcastle in the Premier League last week when he contributed to Marcos Alonso's lone goal at Stamford Bridge.
The American had become a hot topic in recent weeks due to lack of first-team action, having made a big-money move from German in January.
Speaking ahead of their Premier League match against Burnley, Pulisic indicated the atmosphere at the club is wonderful, and he is working towards being the best.
"I was really happy to be given another opportunity to go on," Pulisic said.
"He [Frank Lampard] told me to go on and make an impact, make a difference, and I was happy I was able to help a little bit. He said ‘great job’ at the end, he was really happy I came on and made a difference,"
"I’m never going to let that put me down, not playing. I am going to keep fighting because this is where I want to be. I came here for a reason, I want to be here and make a difference. Whenever I get the opportunity I am going to keep working hard to do that,"
Their attention will now shift to the English Premier League against the Clarets, hoping to grab a seventh successive win in all competitions.
They are currently fourth on the English Premier League standings on 17 points after nine matches, eight adrift of leaders Liverpool.
