Uganda's FUFA Big League outfit Katwe United have reportedly parted ways with head coach Hassan Mubiru according to Kawowo Sports reports.
The development comes after Katwe suffered a 4-0 home defeat at the hands of Doves All-Stars and that was the motivation to release the coach from his duties.
Mubiru joined Katwe when they were still playing in the Kampala regional league after he penned a three-year contract on August 13, 2018.
He worked tirelessly to inspire the side to promotion where they currently find themselves, Fufa Big League.
Mubiru has only been in charge of three games; a 1-0 home win over Light S.S, an away draw to Saviors and the shocking 4-1 home loss to West Nile side Doves All-Stars at Lugogo.
A statement released by the club’s vice-chairman Deo Gracious Luyimbaazi stressed the element of mutual consent by the two parties.
Meanwhile, the club has also announced the immediate appointment of seasonal coach, Allan Kabonge Kivewala Ponsiano as the new head coach - he will be assisted by Ismael Kintu and Mike Mukasa.
Katwe United are set to face Bukedea Town Council in matchday five of the Big League on Thursday, October 31.
