Ole Gunnar Solskjaer heaps praise on Manchester United duo after win over Chelsea

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer heaped praise on Brandon Williams and Daniel James in the 2-1 Carabao Cup win over Chelsea.

After playing 90 minutes in the 1-0 win over Partizan Belgrade, Williams was again deployed as a left wing-back against Chelsea

James won another penalty for United after Marcos Alonso's challenge from the back sent him tumbling with Rashford stepping up to convert the spot-kick.

Speaking in a press conference after the game, Solskjaer lauded Williams and James, "Whenever you get results it will give players confidence. But when you give young lads like Brandon Williams the experience that he got tonight and the kid was again outstanding, it's only gonna help them.

"We know we're not the finished product, a work in process and keep trying to improve. They're learning, getting new experiences, we wanna win every game, when you play for Man United you're expected to win every game.

"He's (James) so sharp and quick. When he gets in front of you you can't really attempt for the ball and if you do you're too slow and it's a pen."
