Dijon FCO rose from the bottom of the log after a surprising 2-1 win over French moneybags Paris Saint-German in a French League clash staged in Dijon on Friday 1 November.
Kylian Mbappe was to open the scoring proceedings in the game in the 19th minute for PSG. The French forward collected a pass and from inside the box lifted the ball over keeper Alfred Gomis, who was off his line.
Dijon woes went from bad to worse when they were forced to make a first-half substitution with coach Stephane Jobard forced to withdraw the injured Senou Coulibaly for Romain Amalfitano.
In the 33rd minute, the hosts made a second change due to another injury after Fouad Chafik was chucked off for Hamza Mendyl.
Despite the setbacks, Dijon were not going to give up and with the referee having added six minutes to cater for the wasted time in the substitution, Dijon was to restore parity in the additional minutes. A rebound wrong foots everyone except Mounir Chouiar who slammed the ball into the open net from close range to make it 1-1 at half time.
The hosts were to take the lead two minutes after the resumption with Jhonder Cadiz taking on a series of his markers inside the opposition box, before leaving the goalkeeper stranded.
PSG tried all they could in the match with Icardi hitting the post in the second half but the hosts held on for their third win of the season.
