Wazito coach lauds Sony Sugar resilience; admits he has a lot of work to do

Wazito FC new manager Melis Medo hailed Sony Sugar FC display in their 4-3 win over the Awendo based side in week eight of the Kenyan Premier League action.

Wazito had former Sony old boy Derrick Otanga to thank in the game but according to Medo he was not happy with the result considering their opponents have not had a lot of troubles of their own.

“I can’t be happy when I’m against an opponent who is playing hungry. I want to say they (Sony) won the game. I had warned my boys against such a team since a dying man is a powerful man,” Melis said after the game.

Brilliant Players

The tactician while admitting he had brilliant players on his side, he stated that as a unit, he still had a lot to do to make them work as a team.

“We have brilliant individual players but as a group they still need tones of work to play as a unit. I arrived here last week on Thursday and I keep applying extra things each day,” he added.

Next for Wazito who is placed eleventh with ten points is a tie against Sofapaka.
