Alex Iwobi has been slammed over a "silly mistake" that gifted Tottenham a goal in the English Premier League on Sunday.
Everton came from behind to force a 1-1 draw with Tottenham at the Goodison Park with a late minute goal.
Iwobi's poor back pass was pounced on by Son Heung-Min who advanced to set up Dele Alli for the opener in the 63rd minute of the encounter.
However, Cenk Tosun scored a late goal for Everton to ensure Marco Silva’s men got a point.
Premier League legend, Alan Shearer blamed the Nigerian international for what he called a "silly mistake".
"It was a silly mistake from Iwobi.
“He should have taken the option of a simple pass to Gomes, but he picked the wrong one, straight into the feet of Son. And then that brilliant finish from Alli.” The pundit said.
The result against Tottenham means Everton are now in 17th position on the Premier league table with 11 points from 11 matches.
The Merseyside will take on Southampton in their next Premier League fixture on November 9.
