Dutch Eredivisie side FC Utrecht have confirmed the release of Ghanaian striker Issah Abass ahead of the CAF U23 Championship set to kick off next week in Egypt.
According to Ghanasoccernet, Issah was given the go-ahead to feature for his native after he was handed a call-up by head coach Ibrahim Tanko as he named his 21-man squad.
The 21-year-old has been receiving adequate minutes on the pitch after playing in nine matches and managing to score this season - his performances earned him the call-up.
The Black Meteors are set to make their journey to Egypt on Monday as they look to continue their preparations ahead of the tournament where they have been drawn alongside hosts Egypt, Cameroon and Mali respectively.
