The Uganda University Football League finals have been held at the famous Mandela National Stadium in Namboole and this year there will be a slight change to the finals, according to Kawowo Sports.
According to the publication, the final will now be held at the StarTimes Stadium in Lugogo after the organisers confirmed.
Lugogo will play host the final two matches of this year’s championship – the third-place match between Uganda Martyrs University and Bugema University in the early kickoff.
Then, the grand finale between St Lawrence and Uganda Christian University.
The original date set for the final was Sunday, November 3 of which it has now been changed as well to 10th November 2019.
First-time finalists St Lawrence University and Uganda Christian University (UCU) will clash in the much-anticipated event.
UCU overcame Bugema University 4-2 in a tense post-match penalty victory following a 3 all draw over the two legs.
St Lawrence University were 3-2 winners, also in post-match penalties after a two all stalemate over the two legs on aggregate.
Meanwhile, Bugema University will battle UCU for third place.
The winner is set to walk away with Shs 4m, while the third-placed team shall take home Shs 2m. Each of the remaining universities will bag Shs 1m respectively.
