It’s another date in our ever engrossing Super League this Saturday. Points are available to be earned but it won’t happen without any fights of passion and sacrifice!
Our attention will be divided between the North West in Mufulira and of course in Thabo Mbeki Road.
- Mufulira Wanderers vs Green Eagles (15:00)
Mighty Abena Milambo are not where they always dream to be. Wanderers are currently second-last on the table with only seven points from nine games. If the club are loving this league, they know very well Saturday is another afternoon to prove that to themselves, the fans and Green Eagles.
A winless run of four games, including three straight losses needs a reply and fast. Eagles are dangerous and stable though. The Stubborn are talking three wins from their four games.
- NAPSA Stars vs Kabwe Youth Academy (15:00)
Stars and Kabwe Youth almost seem like teams in two separate leagues- such is the polar opposite standing on the Super League table. NAPSA ahve been early title top-chasers with nine points off the top-placed Zesco United. Those nine points could decrease to six come Saturday evening.
Visitors KYA are in crisis. The side only know of one win in nine games this season and rockom bottom position is where they find themselves. A big win this weekend could see a jump up to 14 position to leapfrog the likes of Mufulira, Power Dynamos and Leopards.
- Zanaco FC vs Nkana FC (15:00)
The Bankers are way off the pace with only 10 points in 12th position. The reason being, is winning only three games in six. Additionally, Zanaco have no less than three games in hand but anybody will tell you games are not points. A win at Nkana will be entrance into the top six.
However, it is Kalampa who are Saturday’s challenge.
The visitors mean business with five wins in nine games and leaders Zesco the team to catch!
Who will be smiling or whining by Saturday evening?
