Jurgen Klopp responds to Kylian Mbappe links to Liverpool

With Kylian Mbappe linked to Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp has ruled out signing the Paris Saint-Germain forward due to his astronomical transfer fees.

Mbappe is one of the most sought after players in Europe after emerging second in the European Golden Boot race last season, losing out to Lionel Messi.

Since joining PSG in a £165.7m deal in the summer of 2017, Mbappe has been linked with a number of clubs including Real Madrid who wanted to sign him last summer.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of the Manchester City clash, Klopp ruled out signing Mbappe, "Buying this caliber of player is difficult. I don’t see any club at the moment who can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG. I don’t see any club, that is how it is. And we are involved in the clubs that cannot do it. It is as easy as that.

"OK, from a sporting point of view, there are not a lot of reasons to not sign him. What a player he is. But it is about the money, of course. No chance. Absolutely no chance. Sorry for killing that story."
