Kenyan international Michael Olunga was on target in Kashiwa Reysol's 3-0 win over Kagoshima United in the Japanese J2 League.
Reysol opened up a six-point gap at the summit of the J2 League with the win leaving Kagoshima in danger of the drop with just five points separating them from relegation places.
The victory also means that Reysol need a win in their next game to clinch the league and earn promotion back to the J1 League.
Brazilian midfielder Richardson opened the scoring for Reysol in the seventh minute while Ataru Esaka doubled their lead in the 20th minute.
Olunga was on hand to score three minutes after the hour mark as Reysol bagged three vital points in the title race.
The Kenyan is Reysol's top scorer having netted 18 league goals this season, nine less than Leonardo who leads the top scorer's charts in the league.
