After being linked with a move to Bayern Munich last January, Callum Hudson-Odoi has revealed that he decided to stay at Chelsea due to the appointment of Frank Lampard.
The 19-year-old signed a five-year deal worth a reported £120,000 per week in September after rumors he could leave Chelsea surfaced as he was entering the final year of his previous contract.
In an interview with BT Sport, Hudson-Odoi revealed why he decided to stay at Chelsea, "Him coming here is a big feeling for all of us because he was talking before about how he likes young players and I had an idea in my head that if he comes here it will be great for us.
"As soon as he came I thought ‘yep this is it’. I had a few chats with him and thought this is perfect, I want to stay here."
The England international has featured ten times under Lampard this term after recovering from a serious Achilles tendon injury.
