The locally-based Zambia national team on Saturday afternoon lifted the 2019 Dr. Geingob Cup after beating hosts, Namibia 2 - 0 at the Sam Nujoma stadium.
Namibia invited the Copper Bullets for the one-off match and with the Algeria bound squad in camp, Coach Osward Mutapa was given the responsibility to take charge of the team who are preparing for the next years CHAN tournament.
Nkwazi hitman Emmanuel Chabula was the hero of the day netting twice to seal a 2-0 win. Chabula put Zambia in the lead two minutes to half time with a beautiful diving header finishing off a Zachariah Chilongoshi cross.
Chabula completed his brace fourteen minutes to full time as went got on the end of a long searching ball from midfield before rounding off the keeper and slotting home Zambia's second goal of the match.
President Hage Geingob handed over the trophy to Zambia's team captain Adrian Chama at the end of the one-match tournament. FAZ General Secretary Adrian Kashala and Zambia's Ambassador to Namibia Stella Libongani were in the terraces cheering on the local-based players.
