Everton midfielder Fabian Delph has withdrawn from the England squad and returned to the club due to an injury.
A statement on Everton’s website noted: “Fabian Delph has left the England camp and returned to Everton.
“The midfielder joined up with the Three Lions squad with an injury after missing Saturday's 2-1 win at Southampton but it was hoped he would be available to play a part in England's forthcoming UEFA EURO 2020 qualifiers against Montenegro and Kosovo.
“However, it has now been decided that Delph is unlikely to feature and will return to USM Finch Farm for further rehabilitation with Everton medical staff.”
England has not named a replacement for the 29-year-old yet and with only one day left to their clash against Montenegro.
Delph last appeared for England in the Nations League third-place play-off victory over Switzerland in June and has made 10 appearances for Everton this season despite missing the club’s 2-1 win at Southampton on Saturday.
