Following reports that he will not extend his contract at Manchester United, Tahith Chong has expressed his intentions of staying at the club.
With his contract set to expire at the end of the season, rumors emerged earlier this week that Chong was unlikely to remain at the club beyond 2020.
The 19-year-old has been linked to Italian giants Juventus who are looking to snap him up on a free transfer after making only two Premier League substitute appearances.
In an interview with FOX Sports, Chong was asked about his current situation at United, "It’s early right now. I’m still a player of Manchester United and the season is in full swing. My focus is on that. The contract will come naturally. I am now focusing on this season."
When asked if United have offered him a new contract, Chong replied, "Yes, they offered it, but at the moment the season is in full swing."
On whether he would consider a move out of Old Trafford, he added. "I keep all options open. But it is important to keep my focus on the season. I will see where it goes."
